About Dan

I took up ballroom dancing at the request of my martial arts Grand Master, Rudy Timmerman (I am a 4th degree Black Belt in Kuk Sool Won Hapkido). My first dance instructor, Lawrence Sieradski, taught me seven dances, up to Gold Level, in three months. He also said that I was one of, if not the most frustrating student he'd ever had.

I grew quickly to love and respect dancing and this led to me meeting my dance partner and future wife, Tabitha. Upon asking her to Waltz, we were married two years and two months after our first dance.

We have since put on dance demonstrations for Lite 96 FM events and perform at fund raising events for Boyne City Free Clinic and The Charlevoix Area Hospital Foundation. We have worked with The Charlevoix Circle of Arts and, most recently, we preformed at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island for Gleaner Life Insurance Society.

I thank Grand Master Rudy Timmerman and Lawrence Sieradski daily for all of the joy dance has brought into my life.

About Tabitha

I started dancing when I was 18, but I began to learn how to dance after I met Dan, my husband. He had taken prior lessons and taught me what he knew. We then began taking lessons together. Now we run Two Left Feet Dance Instruction and have performed for numerous fundraisers.

I was born in Bittburg, Germany. My father was in the Air Force and was stationed in Germany. I was 3 when we moved to Michigan. I was home schooled and have an Associates Degree in General Studies. Dan and I live in Charlevoix with our three very spoiled cats. I enjoy knitting, crocheting, playing the flute, and reading. I am learning Russian and studying Martial Arts.
